Say Hello To Averr Aglow

As many of you know, we made two announcements at the Indie Beauty Expo this past week. One of those announcements was that our name would be changing from Hello Aglow to Averr Aglow. Since we made that announcement, we have received emails asking why the change and also if is it the same owner. If you were able to attend the IBE show you got to meet Cami (founder) and her husband Levi (co-founder) and hear about the changes and why firsthand. However, for those of you lovely ladies who were not able to make the show, we wrote a blog post about it and wanted to make sure you knew about it so that you are up to date with what's going on with the name change.

A letter from Cami, There’s an old saying that goes, time comes with change, and while at times we want to fight change we must accept that sometimes it's for the better in the long run. That was the conclusion we came to when our trademark attorney informed me of a need to change the name Hello Aglow. It’s been just over a year since we launched our products under the name Hello Aglow. When we decided to sell the skincare, we never thought it would grow as fast as it did. When we started Hello Aglow, we did it out of the want to help others with their skin and provide a product that just could not be found anywhere. What we didn’t think about as much was having a name trademarked. I picked a name that I thought gave the products a fun positive outlook to those who used them. As the brand grew so many of you lovely ladies would write in telling me about your success how you love the brand and the name, and how it has evolved into what it is today. So, needless to say, when we decided to trademark the name Hello Aglow and found out there was a problem with using that name it was a hard pill to swallow. At first, I wanted to fight tooth and nail for it, as it has come to mean so much to all of us. However, the truth was I had two options, fight for a name and spend my time and energy on that, or move on and spend my time and energy on developing and testing new products for all of us to enjoy.

developing and testing the new product

When I thought back to why I even started Hello Aglow, the answer to what I needed to do was evident; I needed to change the name and just focus on providing amazing skincare products. As the name, Hello Aglow has come to mean something to all of us I wanted the new name to carry meaning as well. After spending weeks going over names and of course, making sure we could trademark it ;) I came to the word Aver. Aver is an English word that means “to state to be true.” When I came across this word, I thought this is perfect for us as our products do give you a “true glow.” The only problem I had with it was the word itself looked a little dull, so that's when I decided to play with the spelling a little and came up with Averr Aglow. While this name change is a bittersweet moment for me, I can say, I am glad that we now have a name we can protect and build amazing products behind. So when you see the name Averr Aglow on our products, you know they're going to be great! I wanted to write you this letter so that you understood why we did this and also to ensure you that there has been no change in ownership or change in our product's quality and results. The whole reason behind the name change was to ensure we controlled what products our name was going on so that there was no confusion with another company using the same or similar name with inferior ingredients. Thank you so much for all the support you have given us over the last year, and I want to thank you in advance for your support in helping me spread the word about our new name Averr Aglow.
